For years after my eldest daughter left for college, I had it in my heart to reach pre-college teenagers and young adults through a ministry that addresses faith, science, and reason.
I believe those specific demographics are leaving organized Christian religion because of the lack of depth and answers to current social, philosophical, and scientific issues. They are not being addressed by the church’s teachings.
A challenge issued by our church was the catalyst for this project.
The congregation was asked to form a same gender group of 3 or 4 church members, not familiar with each other, that would meet weekly to discuss and share deep issues pressing our souls. Absolute confidentiality was required.
This challenge prompted the formation of the "TRIPs," short for triplets, because people cannot tell us (Ulises, Chris and Demetrius) apart.
It was then, with the encouragement and the support of my two brothers in Christ, that, Meaningful Ministries® finally began to take form. James Thompson offered his legal expertise and Chesli Lobue Zimmerhanzel helped inmensely with comunications.
In 2025, Elizabeth Iliev joined the team as the coordinator of women's apologetics. Shortly after, Tricia Baltazar, Laura Huffman, Dylan Novak, Daniella Baltazar, Max Manley, and Victoria Baltazar joined this endeavor.
We have put our hearts into this project for the Glory of God and His kingdom. We truly hope that you will share this road with us as we get closer to Him.
